It's been a pretty intense time up here at the Borderlands Lodge lately. Between finishing up my grading for the semester and getting ready for my trans-continental trek to DC next month, it's been tough finding the time to catch my breath.
Nevertheless, I did get a little bit of skiing in the other day. Here are a few shots from the day's activities:
On the road to Bridger: when the mountain calls your name, you have little choice but to respond
As you can tell from this photo, it was another crowded day on the slopes
Feeling purple?
It's hard to read from here, but the run to the right (the little blue sign under the tree to the right) is called "Bobcat," while the run to the left (just to the left of the little shed) is called "Wolverine." Since the Bobcats pay my bills, I did that run first, then did Wolverine.
A secret resting spot
More insane crowds
Do you see the moon rising in the distance?
About to head down...
It was starting to get a little chilly in the late afternoon darkness
After some post-skiing chili and margaritas, I slept long and deeply before getting up the next morning to take care of the last of my grading. Now that the grades are in, I think I'll leave the last word today to Professor Alice Cooper and friends:
