Looking even further ahead, Putin would be a fool if he didn't try to test Washington's willingness to stand up for NATO allies in Europe sometime between now and January, 2029. He'll never find a more willing partner in Washington, or get a better chance to destroy the alliance entirely.

In this context I've mentioned Narva, Estonia on more than one occasion.
